If you reach out to us via the contact form, we collect the information you supply to us in order to best respond to your requests.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your contact information
Newsletter signups are sent through to SendGrid for handling of newsletters. Your contact information sent through our contact form is sent directly to Matthew McDermott and no one else is able to view the content.

We use SSL to ensure your contact to our website is encrypted. Any information you send to us is stored in either SendGrid, or Matthew’s email.

In the event that SendGrid, or Matthew’s email is compromised, we will be sure to reach out to you directly and inform you of the breach.
